The Ultimate Taco Trailblazing Extravaganza



ChallengeDesign a guide which engages an intended audience and improves their experience in Athens, GA across print and digital platforms. 

SOLUTIONOur design team created a taco eating competition which engages University of Georgia students with ten Athens restaurants through a printed guide and social media campaign. Working collaboratively across both mediums, our team created an identity for the guide and competion to immerse students in new restaurants.

A guide to 10 [!!!!!] Athens taco spots ----

Visit them all to complete the Terrific Chewing Challenge.


Our research showed both a high volume of taco shops in Athens and a disconnect between UGA students and local hispanic community. By combining elements of competition and fun, the Walkin’ Taco gets students out of their comfort zones to try new spots, quickly.

Formatted like a passport, take the Walkin’ Taco to each restaurant and get it stamped by a staff member. After collecting all ten stamps, trade in the back page for a bumper sticker badge of honor.

Pt. 2 --- Digital




Instagram campaign to connect UGA students with Athens taco spots.


I directed the Instagram campaign as a lead member of the digital team. Together, we created posts, stories, and interactive media to get the challenge out there.







In tandem with the Walkin’ Taco guide, the Instagram page provides more details about each restaurant, steps to participate in the challenge, and “Taco Tidbits” about Athens taco spots.

We sketched concepts for the Instagram feed and individual posts, incorporating colors, typefaces, and custom icons used in print.

Designed carousels for each restaurant, consisting of a sticker-like title and fun facts. Incorporated photos & videos of the Walkin’ Taco to show function and how to participate in the challenge.
